Russell Investments hires Surekha Shenoy Kunder as new Managing Director for India

Seattle, 2025-01-27 – Kunder will oversee business in India and drive growth in the region

Russell Investments has hired Surekha Shenoy Kunder as Managing Director for India. Kunder will oversee Russell Investments’ business in India, playing a key role in driving growth and strengthening the firm’s presence in Mumbai. Kunder will also serve as a member of the firm’s Operating Committee.

"Under Surekha’s leadership, this key global hub will drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions to clients worldwide."

Russell Investments opened its India business in 2023, and its Mumbai office represents over 450 associates across all divisions of the firm.

Prior to joining Russell Investments, Surekha was on TIAA’s India Leadership Team, where she served as Managing Director, CAO, Chief of Staff, and was involved in shaping business strategy, entity governance and setting up new business functions at the GCC. Prior to TIAA, Kunder spent more than 15 years at Morgan Stanley and held various leadership positions, including the GCC COO.
